Anne Kimberley, Operations Director
Joined LexisNexis Visualfiles in 1996 as a Consultant/ Project Manager
Before joining Solicitec (Became Visualfiles in July 2004 and LexisNexis Visualfiles in 2006) I had worked in legal practices both as a Secretary and a Legal Executive gaining invaluable experience of how law offices were run. I specialised in volume Debt Collection and Repossession and in 1987 I bought a system from Solicitec. I had the training from Neil Ewin (Current Chairman) and I was sold! I loved the system and enjoyed developing it.
I was delighted to be offered a job in 1996 working as a Consultant/Project Manager.
I was based at home in Southampton and was the only employee working in the south of England. My role involved managing and implementing projects for private practices and in house legal departments, including Inland Revenue, Abbey National Plc, Hamlin Slowe and Bristol & West Plc.
After a year another Consultant joined in the South and when the Salesman for the South relocated to the Southampton area the three of us set up the Southampton office and as work expanded we recruited more Consultants and Sales people and soon we had to take on a bigger office. I am very proud of how we set up that part of LexisNexis Visualfiles (or Solicitec as it was then). I became the Senior Project Manager in Southampton running a team of Consultants.
In 2000 there was a restructure of the Company and I was offered the post of Operations Director. This was a great opportunity for me. I had the responsibility for all the projects being implemented running a team of 30 Project Managers and Consultants. It is great working with a team of talented and enthusiastic people. In 2003 due to personal circumstances I relocated to Yorkshire and am now based at the Leeds office.
In 2004 LexisNexis Visualfiles split into several Divisions. Our team became Professional Services with our own profit and loss account and our own Management Team which was a great opportunity for 2 of our senior Project Managers
I am in my 10th year now and still find this a great place to work with good people and good opportunities.
